01 · Workspace

One window replaces the tool pile.

Editor, preview, notebook, diff viewer, git and your coding agent stop living in separate tabs. Each project gets a workspace; the agent docks on the right everywhere.

Write · Typst and Quarto Prose first, preview as you type

Live preview beside a distraction-free editor. Plain source underneath; Word export for co-authors.

Analyse · Python, R, SQL Notebooks that feed the paper

Re-run the analysis and every labelled figure and table in the manuscript updates. Qualitative coding on the same data.

Review · Comments and diffs Comment, and let the agent reply

Agent replies arrive in the margin; its edits arrive as tracked changes you accept or reject one by one.

Work · Every workstream Grants, papers, teaching, service

Boards, deadlines, budgets and receipts, linked to the studies and outputs they belong to.

Literature · Reviews Narrative, systematic and scoping

Saved searches, blind dual screening, extraction and PRISMA diagrams generated from the records.

Career · Promotion A record that builds itself

Finished work flows into a private career record, ready for promotion cases, CVs and track records.

02 · Verification

Accuracy beats fluency.

AI never writes reference details. Every reference must resolve in a scholarly database, is cross-checked across independent sources and checked for retractions, and export stays blocked until the bibliography passes.

03 · Agents

Bring your own agent.

Perennius works with the agent you already use, signed in with your own account. It never handles your login and never resells usage. Anything an agent writes is marked until a person accepts it.

04 · Principles

Built for work that lasts.

  1. Your files

Plain text you own, versioned in git. No lock-in.

  2. Local first

Nothing leaves your machine unless you turn on sync. Sync is end-to-end encrypted.

  3. Easy to start

Standard shortcuts and plain language. Vim and terminals when you want them.

  4. Secure by design

Built to pass university security review, from the first commit.

05 · Themes

Looks like the rest of your desktop.

On Linux, Perennius takes its colours from your Omarchy theme and restyles the moment you switch. Every colour is computed from the theme's own palette. Try it on this page.
